Deathcare Services
Consultations
Whether you are dying or you are supporting someone who is dying, this 60-minute session will allow for tender exploration, processing, and deep reflections on the end of one’s life, the physical and emotional changes, and what death means to you.
Consultations may be a singular conversation or may be scheduled on a semi-regular basis for the dying person or family/loved ones who are struggling with the impending loss.
Companionship
The process of dying is different for everyone. Some will find solace in being alone at the end. Others may want a companion at their side, someone to be present and hold space for them when family is unable, unwilling, or absent.
Non-medical companionship at death is a construct that has been seen over millennia, across different cultures and traditions, and among civilizations far and wide. Viewed often as a sacred shepherding of the soul, the death companion is present, focused on the person dying, and there to ensure peaceful passage.
CARING Preparation
Staying informed and knowing what’s available to you as well as well as what may be legally required or binding is critically important for how your end of life is carried out. Information and documentation for assigning a Medical Power of Attorney, a Healthcare Proxy, articulating your Advanced Care Directives, and more are offered here for your thoughtful and careful consideration.
This service is offered as a resource center only and is not intended to serve as legal counsel or medical advice.
Our Philosophy
I believe in personal autonomy.
I believe in the uniqueness of each individual’s experience of dying.
I honor the choices, terms, and vision every individual holds as they consider, explore, or embark on their end-of-life journey.
